SOOMI KIM (Performer)
Kim is a Korean born actor/multidisciplinary artist and Ex.Pgirl company member. Kim performed in Ex.Pgirl’s Paris Syndrome (Culturemart 08’), 10Plates (Culturemart 07’) as well as Prelude ‘06. Other projects: Kim’s original theater show Lee/gendary (Kim plays Bruce Lee) directed by Suzi Takahashi, Grisha Coleman’s installation / performance piece echo::system-the desert (The New Hazlett Theater, Pittsburgh, PA). Aside from her experience as an actor, she has an extensive background in movement (gymnastics, dance, martial arts fighting for stage and film) and music (alto saxophone and voice), and has performed and toured extensively as a martial artist/actor with Fred Ho in principal roles in Voice of the Dragon (BAM's Next Wave Festival and 2003 U.S. tour) and V.O.D. 2 at the Apollo Soundstage. www.soomikim.com
